The West's best gourmet shopping spot
The gourmet supermarket trend has made its way to the western suburbs of Melbourne, with one of its most pleasing incarnations, A. Bongiovanni & Son.

Proper Pannetone

With a distinctly continental feel, this gorgeous shop stocks brands not seen in the high street chains, with a focus on organic and sustainable produce and products.

The fresh produce is exactly that, fresh, with a great selection of fruit and veg and clear info about where it's all grown.

Fresh fruit and veg

The bakery and deli sections are really what set A. Bongiovanni & Son apart. Freshly baked bread and rolls, including gluten free products, take up one wall, while the deli contains such delights as streaky bacon and a huge variety of salamis, chorizo and Italian sausages.

Pickles and Preserves

It is well worth making the trip to Seddon if you haven't been to experience this western wonder.

Your Comment
This shop is utterly marvellous - and surprisingly well-priced compared with other deli-type supermarkets. Well done Bongiovanni - and absolute treat to visit and your staff are terrific too. Can't recommend this shop more highly.
