Tue 16 Aug 2016
Enjoy wine tasting and nibble on antipasto platters alongside wine loving scientists from The Australian Wine Research Institute in a cosy wine bar.
Put your nose in a wild-fermented Shiraz, relish the texture of a Cabernet Sauvignon. Learn where the buttery flavour comes from in barrel fermented Chardonnay or the tropical aroma in Sauvignon Blanc.
Find out the difference between a biodynamic, natural or conventional wine.
There will also be a myth-busting segment to clear up some common wine-related folklore and the opportunity for you to ask questions about all things wine and science.
The evening is being held by The Australian Wine Research Institute as part of national Science Week. Participants must be 18 years old or over. Bookings can be made via the Australian Wine Research Institute website -
