Christmas is coming and the Redcliffe City Choir will be celebrating on Saturday December 7th at the Redcliffe Uniting Church, 1 Richens St, Redcliffe at 2.30 pm, followed by afternoon tea.



The choir, conducted by Kylie Moore, will perform the Christmas Cantata, Christen ätzet diesen Tag (Christians, Engrave this Day) BWV63 by J.S.Bach.



The performance will feature soloists Meg Kiddle- Soprano, Naomi Flatman-Mezzo Soprano, Mattias Lower - Tenor and Shelden Mathieson - Bass, with Sinfonia led by Spiros Rantos.

The concert A Bach Christmas will also include Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring, as well as Shepherd's Dance and Still a Bach Christmas (two Christmas Carols with a Bach influence).

The Redcliffe City Choir is a Community Choir which was formed in 1985 with the aim to encourage and develop fine choral singing. Anyone who has a love of choral singing is welcome to come along to a rehearsal which is held on Monday evenings at Rothwell.



Their repertoire consists of various genres of music from popular light music to opera / operetta and major sacred works.
