The best brunch spot in Melbourne?
In the past few years, many Melburnians have taken a step back from the hustle and bustle of city life and begun to appreciate the subtle art of lazy mornings followed by a beautiful brunch. There are an array of brunch spots popping up and everyone seems to have their own Saturday morning location, but in my opinion 8 Days is one to keep an eye on.

Located in the upmarket suburb of Armidale, 8 Days is nearly always packed which helps to create a buzzing atmosphere. This said, there are secluded corners where you can have that romantic meal or perhaps read a nice book.

The meals themselves are simply divine. With large portions of the classics, such as eggs benedict, muesli, pancakes and croissants - there is certainly something for everyone. However delicious these treats are however, there is one dish that must be tasted, because it is guaranteed to please. For $17 you will receive "avocado & Persian fetta on sourdough w/ chilli, basil & minted broadbean dressing." However sceptical I was to eating such a healthy sounding brunch on my day off, I was blown away and somehow finished the entire plate which is an accomplishment given the huge size of the portion! 8 Days also offer lunch, their speciality being the wagyu beef burger which has some fantastic reviews.

Of course, the perfect brunch isn't complete without a great coffee to kick off the day. 8 Days use a house blend as well as 8 senses coffee which has a delicately bitter taste to it. Whilst it may not be everyone's cup of tea, I adore the complexity of it and definitely recommend a taste. Speaking of tea, whilst I am sadly uninformed of the brand, you wont be disappointed with the earl grey which has a truly fantastic aroma.

If you're ever in need of a fantastic breakfast/lunch out then 8 Days is definitely worth a trip to Armadale. Most meals are around the $20 mark and you won't be disappointed.

A little far away for me for a brunch, but sounds like it could be worth the miles ;)
