A challenge for a good cause. That's what this is about. Disconnect from the internet, from 7pm till 7am for 7 days, from 19 April till 25 April 2015, and reconnect with other areas of your life.

By taking part, you may discover new and interesting ways to reconnect, and also help raise money, and create awareness for Headspace National Youth Mental Health Foundation via the 7til7 team page on Everyday Hero.

Getting started

You'll be asleep for most of the hours you're being challenged so it may not be as tough as you think. By being a part of this challenge, it may lead you to be present, conscious and attentive in life. Let it seep through your every pore, and allow it to consume you with its fullness. Remember the old slogan: "Life be in it".

Try a different challenge each day.

What's involved?
Join the 7till 7 team page on Everday Hero, by clicking on the 'take part' button.
Get family and friends involved. Ask for their support and contribution through a donation. They may even want to do the challenge themselves.
At 7pm each day, switch off your devices, and repeat over 7 days.
Use the hours you're switched off to reconnect with yourself and others. Try something new and different each day.
When you're back online at 7am each day, share how you reconnected with life without technology.
Talk about your 7till7 story on social media, to increase awareness of the challenge, and help support Headspace through more donations.

There is help throughout this challenge. When you register, you'll get a 7till7 social media kit. You'll be in touch daily, with suggestions for your reconnection time. If you have some ideas of your own, get it out there. Here are some suggestions below:

19 April - Get in touch with yourself, enjoy your own company and do something you love.
20 April - It's family time, do something special together.
21 April - Make food a part of today; dinner party, dinner date; cooking class?
22 April - Get active; walk, bike, run, or go to the gym.
23 April - Creativity time. Let your inner artist out.
24 April - It's all about community. Visit your neighbours, or have a street party?
25 April - Go back to nature and get out in the park, the backyard, or plant a tree.
26 April - Time to party. Hooray, you've reached your milestone.
