A day of free dance classes
Once again, the beautiful Gen is opening up her dance studio - 6th Position for new students to come and try out the classes and the studio. It is a studio where adults of all abilities, backgrounds and ages are welcome to come and dance.

The classes available for students to try on Saturday for free include:

Barre Fitness 10:15am - 10:45am

Barre Fitness begins with a warm-up, followed by whole body strength and stretching exercises. It's a great way to improve muscle strength and range of movement.

Dance Foundations 11:00am - 11:45am

A class specifically designed for adults with no prior dance experience. Although the class is classically based, the techniques Learnt can be used with other dance styles.

Lyrical (Contemporary) 12:00pm - 12:45pm

Lyrical is predominantly contemporary, but also combines ballet and jazz techniques to create the expressive fluidity this dance style is known for.

Jazz (Commercial) 1:00pm - 1:45pm

A sharp and modern style, commonly seen in music video clips for popular artists, and movies. Its energetic nature makes for a great fitness and endurance workout!

Jazz (Broadway) 2:00pm - 2:45pm

As the name suggests this is the style of jazz that you see on the Broadway stage.

Ballet 3:00pm - 3:45pm

A timeless internationally loved and globally influential art form. Ballet is great for posture, strength and stamina.

Although the classes are free, booking is essential via the 6th Position website. Classes have booked out in the past so it's best to book in early to avoid disappointment.
