As is the becoming trend in the southern part of the Gold Coast, 52 Espresso is a boutique cafe with a laid back but quirky charm. Located along the popular Nobbys cafe strip, 52 Espresso bursts with energy, chatter and customers, and is clearly a popular choice amongst the locals.
The cafe is furnished with eclectic furniture and lightly decorated with vintage homewares and art from local artists that is also for sale. Indie and alternative music can also be heard below the buzz of the shop.
The meals are healthy, well made and the portion sizes are adequate. I personally enjoyed an Acai smoothie for $7.50 and the Eggs Benedict with ham off the bone for $15. Other breakfast meals include the usual Breakfast Bruschetta, Bacon and Eggs, Toasted Muesli with Greek Yoghurt and Acai and Breakfast Omlette, which range from $12 to $18 and are available all day. Vegetarian lunch and breakfast meals are also available.
