New to Canberra, I love exploring this city and the secrets that it holds with my family.
Event: -
Celebrate 50 years of toys, props & familiar friends
The National Museum of Australia is holding an exhibition to celebrate 50 years of the children's show Play School in Australia. Find Big Ted, Little Ted, Humpty, Jemima and the Rocket Clock and look through the round, square and arched windows. There will be props on loan from the ABC and you can reminisce about the Play School of yesteryear. Show your kids characters that were around when you were a child.

Learn how Jemima's clothes have changed through the decades to reflect the trends - wearing jeans, bright colours and even a miniskirt! With memorabilia from the last 50 years, it will be a step back in time to our own childhoods and favourite characters still remembered today. See the NMA website for all the details and how to book. Children under 5 are free.

*Coincidently,The Play School Concert (titled "Humpty's Showtime") will be at Albert Hall in Canberra between 8th - 10th July, on its national tour.
