Caring for another person who is reliant on you can be difficult and rewarding. Whether the individual is frail, has a disability, health condition or illness, having that other person to care for can make life feel a little out of control.
Research has shown however that there is five simple things you can do as part of your day to improve your wellbeing and happiness. They are connect, be active, keep learning, be aware and help others.
Do each of these can help you cope better with stress, live longer, happier and healthier.
Carers SA is a fantastic organisation which seeks to care for those who care for others. They provide a range of services including carer support planning, emergency respite, peer support workshops, counselling and facilitated coaching to support carers.
