5 Toes is a pop-up shop that pops up regularly at the Lilydale Marketplace.

The name suggests that socks are the main stock of trade. But the first impression is that it is the other end of the body that is catered for – heads, at least the hats that go on them.

Closer inspection shows that not only are the toes and heads catered for but parts in-between as well.

Hat wise there are over 100 to choose from in many different styles and colours.

Many are sitting on mannequin heads, some looking a little lifelike, particularly with eyes peering between a hat and face mask.

Heading south you will find a large range of fashion masks. They come highly recommended as all the hat manikins are wearing them.

Further south we come to the neck. 5 Toes have your neck nicely covered with a huge range of colourful scarves. Not so much the keep your neck warm variety but decorative designs and colours.

Your five toes can be covered with cotton socks, bamboo socks, knee highs, over the knees and kids socks.

If your toes stick out, you are probably wearing leg warmers.

There are many small items on display. I'm sure I saw some baby booties and some tutu like skirts for your little princess.

A sign indicates they sell party goods. I guess the animal hat and the balaclava fit that category. Gloves are also mentioned.

At 5 Toes, you are covered from head to toe.
