Without a doubt, staying in 5-star hotels is a luxury we all enjoy when travelling. Sydney is a top tourist destination, and therefore boasts many luxury chain and boutique hotels. But you don't need to be a tourist to experience 5-star luxury. Sometimes it's nice to spoil yourself and have a night or two away from the humdrum of everyday life, and get a taste of how 'the other half' lives.

The best website you could ever visit if you're looking for 5-star accommodation at the best prices possible anywhere in the world is Wotif. Im not sure, I think I was looking for the intercontinental, but I dont think the one Im looking for was that close to the Opera House.

I used to like the Wharf, before it changed ownership and theres a couple of great boutique hotels on Darlinghurst Road. Medusa and another one I cant recall the name of.

Manly has some great holiday houses too.
