5 Senses Café is located just inside Tuggeranong Hyperdome Shopping Centre. With outside seating, stylish décor and rave reviews from local friends, it didn't appear like the usual shopping centre café.

We decided to enjoy breakfast on our visit, with a variety of healthy foods to choose from in the menu. If you prefer a vegetarian breakfast this café has several delicious options and no bacon and eggs in sight. It caters for vegetarians, diners with food intolerances, or those looking for gluten free options.

We weren't quite sure what to expect when we each ordered the Baked Eggs, however when it came out we were more than happy - it was huge! With mushrooms, tomatoes, spinach, mozzarella and eggs cracked into the middle then baked in a hot ceramic bowl, we both agreed that it was one of the best breakfasts we have had for a long time.

It was healthy, tasty, presented beautifully and so filling that we didn't eat anything until the afternoon.

After much thought, our daughter chose the Banana Bread with strawberries and cinnamon butter.

The table was very quiet whilst the Banana Bread was enjoyed and our daughter, an expert on banana bread at four years old, gave it five stars.

We did have to wait a few extra minutes for our baked eggs which we didn't mind, however the lady who served us apologised for the delay and said that it takes abit longer to make but it is worth the wait. She also recommended the Fajita's off the lunch menu - which also take a little longer to prepare but also a highlight of the menu.

As other diners were delivered their beautifully presented meals on large plates, I don't think you could go wrong with anything off the menu.

Elevated a little higher than the shopping centre, the seating area is surprisingly large, so there is plenty of room to dine without others right next to you. For families with prams and highchairs, the spaciousness is also very handy.

There are high bench tables for communal seating, outside tables and chairs if you want to catch some sun, a couple of comfy chairs for a coffee and plenty of tables to choose from. It is a popular Café with locals, families, couples and friends to have a meal together or chat over a coffee. It is located inside a smaller entry into the Tuggeranong Hyperdome - so small I didn't even know it was there - so it feels like a quiet, secluded area of the centre with plenty of natural light.

A good idea is to check their Facebook before you go, as they often have "2 for 1" breakfasts and lunches on certain days and you need to mention the Facebook ad to receive it. There is often a coffee and cake deal and the day we visited they had a free coffee with any breakfast meal.

5 Senses is a relaxing café to sit back and relax with exceptionally good food. It seems that our family has found ourselves a favourite breakfast café in Tuggeranong. We can't wait to go back again for the baked eggs, try something new, enjoy some lunchtime fajita's or have a coffee and cake...

It is a Café that will certainly wake up all of your senses.
