Get ready to party
There's gold at the end of these kid's party spot suggestions. Happy kids and parents.

It's looming. Your child's birthday. Although it's something to look forward to, the expectation that you need to organise a gathering often goes along with it. You want something fun, manageable and, if possible, not too exhausting. Here are 5 suggestions which fill those criteria.

Kew Traffic School

The Kew Traffic School has the perfect mix of fun, excitement and safety structures for a great birthday party. Children bring along their bikes and helmets and get to experience the excitement of traffic lights, crossings, street signs and footpaths away from the danger of real roads. It's suitable for children aged between 3 and 10. You can make a private booking online up to six months in advance. Session times and booking fees are available here.

Street Sign
Experience the roads in a safe environment at the Kew Traffic School.

Bounce Inc Trampoline Park

Bounce Inc Trampoline Park in Glen Iris is a party destination which is sure to tire out the kids. If your child is 6 or over you can book a fully catered party room complete with host and an hours 'jump' time. To check out prices and book click here.

Theme Picnic in the Royal Botanic Gardens

A cheaper option is to organise a picnic with a theme based on your child's interests at the beautiful Royal Botanic Gardens in Melbourne. Take along some picnic rugs and ask everyone to bring a plate of food. For help with birthday party themes and games click here.

Royal Botanic Gardens
Design your own theme and meet at the Royal Botanic Gardens.

Chill on Ice Lounge and Ski Lodge

If you want to organise the coolest party in town you should check out the Chill on Ice Lounge and Ski Lodge at Southbank. They offer a party host and a variety of different options. To find out more, click here.

Mini Picassos - Kids Art Parties

You could be thinking about having the party at home but are hyperventilating at the thought of the chaos and mess. Don't worry there is a solution. You can hire a company like Mini Picassos to come along and run the party for you. Mini Picassos bring everything with them, set it up, run a birthday art activity and then clean up afterwards. Wld have loved Chill on Ice but it's expensive for a kids party... other quirky winter options for 6-10 would be great. Done the swimming, sport and disco options!!
