Shake, rattle and roll with additional effects
If 4D cinema sounds stranger than fiction, it may just be. Perhaps you've been to 3D where you put on glasses and the screen pops out in front of your eyes, 4D adds another dimension where your seats move, winds gushes at you at appropriate times and little specks of water or bubbles appear to make you feel you are part of the movie.

This new cinema has opened in Melbourne.

I'm sure your kids will have fun here, however if you go expecting a seamless high quality cinema experience you may be disappointed, especially as it only goes for about 15 minutes, but treat it as a sideshow ride and you should have fun.

It's a little rough, with strap in seats that tend to be more bumpy than actual and the screen seemed to jump about a bit, but forget your idea of million dollar swish rides and you're sure to have some light hearted (albeit somewhat corny) fun.

I dont know that I would make a special trip for this event, but if you find yourself in the Melbourne city CBD with kids and are looking for something to add to the day, pop along to the 4D cinema and listen to their squeals of delight.

It appears to be a small family run business and the owner was extremely helpful, accommodating and seemed genuinely delighted that we had come along to support his business.

If booking on the website, for a few dollars more you can generally add the next movie to your ticket which may make it a bit more value.
