48 Flavours is a new frozen confection shop, recently opened in Paralowie Village (Shop11a 3 Liberator Drive, Paralowie). The store offers a large range of gelato and sorbet flavours.

Two scoops of delicious flavour cost $7.50 in a cone or a cup. A milkshake is a little cheaper, and they will mix flavours in the shake, which sounds a bit unusual.

There is an eat-in area where families can sit at tables to enjoy their cool treats, or take-away packaging is available in plastic containers. The company also manufacture gelato cakes, which look absolutely mouth-watering, if a little delicate for a hot birthday party.

The sorbet especially is packed with flavour, and lingers in the mouth pleasuring the taste-buds. Some sorbets are dairy free, which can fulfill a specific dietary need for the lactose intolerant, or those with slight milk allergies, including hayfever.

Flavours include traditional favourites like pistachio, lemon and chocolate, as well as unique tastes such as blood orange and sesame.
