First opened at Tea Tree Plaza at Modbury, has opened a second branch at Mawson Lakes Shopping Centre. They particularly pride themselves in making fresh coffee from high quality beans that are certified fair trade produce, in addition to serving a good range of cafe style food.

My father loves 'big breakfast' but we seldom made it out of the house early enough to enjoy one. Thus he was very pleased when he found out that serves 'all day breakfast'. Mega Meal is the name they have given to their 'big breakfast' dish, which consists of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, hash brown and toast accompanied with butter. The serving is generous and the bacon and sausages were cooked just right with scrambled eggs that were soft and fluffy. The hash brown was crispy with a fluffy interior and the pieces of toast were of the brownness that we liked.

Their Gourmet Chicken Burger had a piece of tender chicken that was nicely complemented by the bacon, avocado, mustard mayonnaise and lettuce. It came with a serving of chips that was cooked to perfection with just the right amount of seasoning. Their coffee lived up to its reputation, coming out piping hot with an intense flavour that we enjoyed.

I love Chicken Schnitzel so I ordered one with mushroom gravy. The chicken was cooked to golden brown with the crispy coating contrasting nicely with the perfectly cooked meat. The chips were as well done as the one that came with the Gourmet Chicken Burger and the mushroom gravy I chose helped to lift the flavour of the dish. It also came with a refreshing salad. There is an option to choose gravy, grilled ham & cheese or parmigiana as the topping in place of the mushroom gravy.

We also like their fluffy, tasty omelette. You can order it made either with a filling of ham and tomato or your choice of up to three fillings. Our choice of bacon, mushrooms and spinach rounded the flavour the omelette well. Although it normally comes with chips, we were able to exchange it for sweet potato wedges during our visit. The wedges were crispy with a slightly sweet flavour.

For dessert, we tried their apple pie. While the pastry was a bit average, the apple filling was piping hot and delectable. It came with cream that was a good partner and we were also able to get it with ice cream as well which helped to finish the dish.

Ambience of the café was quite good and there is ample undercover parking space in the carpark at Mawson Lakes Shopping Centre. Shop a Docket has a 'buy 1 meal and receive a 2nd for $5' deal for this café which is valid until 6 August 2015.
