At this FREE event, you can watch the amazing 3D chalk artist, Jenny McCracken from Zest Events. Jenny will be creating a fantastic 3D scene on the street and you will be able to learn some basic skills to help them finish it off. This artwork looks so real that you may be fooled into thinking it really is!

The chalk workshop will be held on Friday 11th January 2019 at The Caroline Springs Library & Learning Hub, 193-201 Caroline Springs Boulevard, Caroline Springs.

This event will also be held at The Melton Town Centre, 232 High Street, Melton on hursday 10th January 2019 from 9.00 am to 12.00 noon. Come and watch Jenny at work as she makes some "illusionary magic" to create a scene to bamboozle your eyes.

The artwork will then be there until the end of January, weather permitting! You can come along at any time and jump in the scene yourself! Or once again, take a photo of yourself with the artwork to see the illusion at its best.

Learn chalking and 3D painting skills so that you can help create a fun, interactive artwork that is about to jump off the pavement. And make sure that you take plenty of selfies to show to friends and family once the work is finished!

You do not need to make a booking just to watch the live chalk drawing. Everyone is welcome to come down and watch from 9.00 am until 12.00 noon. However, the organisers request that those not participating in the event follow the staff instructions and allow public access through the area at all times.

Please note that this workshop will be conducted on a footpath that is a few minutes' walk from Caroline Springs Library. You will meet at the Library main entrance and then your facilitator will take the group to the actual location.

Although this is a free event, you can register at this site. More information can be found here.

This workshop is suitable for participants aged 12 years and over only. You must wear suitable outdoor clothes that can get dirty and bring along a hat, long-sleeved shirt, sunscreen, a water bottle and some snacks.

About chalk art
3D chalk art and 3D street painting are also known as street art, pavement art, anamorphic perspective, optical illusions, chalk drawings and sidewalk art!

You can create awareness by using 3D art as the medium for your message. 3D Chalk Art is interactive and entertaining; many people enjoy seeing the works created and to pose in them for photos.

3D chalk art is traditionally produced on the pavement but it can also be created on walls and floors. Images of the art continue to spread your message online well after the work has washed away. Artworks can be sealed to last or painted to make them permanent. It can also be produced on canvas and other surfaces, so that it can be used at different events and on indoor surfaces.

This event is presented by Zest Events International. Zest Events specialise in 3D street painting, 3D chalk drawings, urban art, art workshops, murals and "trompe l'oeil", live art performance, public art, experiential marketing and activations, commissioned artworks, and team building activities.
