International award-winning actor Ellen Burstyn will be starring in Moisés Kaufman's 33 Variations at the Comedy Theatre from 7 until 24 March 2019.
33 Variations together examines the creative process behind Beethoven's Diabelli Variations and the journey of a musicologist, Katherine Brandt, to discover the meaning behind why Beethoven was compelled to write thirty-three distinct variations on a simple theme by a minor music publisher.

For this limited season of 33 Variations joining Ellen Burstyn is an all-star Australian cast including Lisa McCune, William McInnes, Helen Morse, Francis Greenslade, Toby Truslove and Andre de Vanny. Renowned pianist Andrea Katz will be performing Beethoven's Diabelli Variations.
