As far as cuisines go, Polish food is not your typical go-to fare. As far as drinks go however, vodka is a spirit most of us are more than familiar with (sometimes regrettably!).
Borsch, Vodka & Tears on Chapel St, Windsor combines the best of Polish food, drinks and atmosphere. As the name suggests, the aim is to eat, drink and cry tears of - hopefully- joy.
The restaurant/bar is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner- though be warned, limited space and high popularity means you should make reservations if going for dinner. A long table outside means you will generally find yourself shoulder to shoulder with strangers, who after a few shots from their 100 vodka list, will soon become fast friends.
The staff are extremely friendly, though sometimes you will find your capuccino order may turn into a latte on a Sunday when the young staff are a bit bleary eyed.
But that's the Borsch experience and captures the Polish spirit perfectly. Eat, drink and be merry!
