Several international films are going to be shown at the Sydney Opera House in the coming weeks, and one of these films is 2046 . 2046 is the sequel to Wong Kar Wai’s sequel to In the Mood for Love. And, what 2046 does is take that film’s romantic longing, and then combine it in this film with a time-hopping structure with a science fiction twist.

2024 marks the twentieth anniversary of%% 2046,% where writer Chow Mo-Wan is inspired to write a futuristic love story, filled with the delirium that he has experienced throughout all his failed relationships. It does this through fantasy sequences, where the imaginations of those involved in the film have run rampant in this sublime film that will hopefully spark imaginations.
