Melbourne is a city brimming with events and festivals. Here's your guide to the very best experiences already announced, to ensure your weekends are filled with fun through the scorching Summer and cosy Autumn ahead in 2024.

JANUARY

Juicy Fest comes to Melbourne on January 12th 2024 and features influential R&B and hip-hop stars of the 90s and 2000s.

The Melbourne Gin Festival will run from January 15th to 17th 2024. It will be held in Port Melbourne with gin tastings, classes, and food trucks.

Midsumma is Australia's premier queer arts and cultural festival, and will return from January 21st to February 11th 2024.

FEBRUARY

Melbourne Art Fair will be held from February 22nd to 25th 2024. This event is a major art and exhibition event that features contemporary artists.

The Waterfront Festival will be held in Frankston on the weekend of February 10th and 11th 2024. The festival offers live music, market stalls, rides, and entertainment for the kids.



MARCH

Photo 2024 is Australia's largest and most prestigious photography event, presented in collaboration with over 50 cultural, education, and government partners. The event runs from March 1st to 24th 2024.

Big Picture Fest runs from March 18th to March 24th 2024. Ten internationally renowned artists will take over Frankston with paintings and digital projections. There will also be live bands, street tours, and a Block Party.

Rumbia Festival is from March 22nd to March 25th 2024. This festival is designed to teach and celebrate Latin dance and music.

Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show will be held from March 20th to 24th 2024. This premier event is a delight for garden lovers and is held at the Royal Exhibition Building & Carlton Gardens.



APRIL

Supanova will be held from April 6th to 7th 2024 at the Melbourne Showgrounds. The festivals features many Comic Con & Gaming events and exhibitors.

MAY

Melbourne Writers Festival runs from May 9th to May 12th 2024, and holds many literary and educational events across several locations in inner Melbourne.

The Cat Lovers Festival is the weekend of May 11th and 12th 2024, at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
