This November, Aspire Gallery is proudly presenting 'The 2016 Collection', the latest solo exhibition by celebrated Australian artist Michael Cawdrey. In February 2015, the multi-award winning artist was the recipient of the Judges' Choice Prize of Aspire Gallery's first ever 'petite pieces' Competition. " wrap="0" title="" margin="5"]Michael Cawdrey's oil and acrylic paintings consist of detailed and emotive landscapes, seascapes and street scenes and he enjoys switching between urban, industrial and rural subject matter. He is also well-known for his ability to portray the human figure. This year's exhibition, entitled 'The 2016 Collection' showcases what Michael has been up to for the last 12 months. Each of the displayed works were created this year and have never been exhibited publicly before. Brisbane dwellers are sure to recognise the many Queensland locales and scenes in his works which have been painted from the everyday perspective and capture the essence of Brisbane living. Come and view this collection of beautifully intriguing artworks in person and marvel at Michael's masterful skills which has been honed over 25 years. The exhibition opens on Wednesday 9th November and an Opening Night event will be held on Friday 12th November, from 4:30 - 6:30pm. The exhibition will continue until Saturday 26th November 2016.
