Kite flying fun
Spend a day at the beach and see a Great White Shark, a Mermaid, silly monkeys chasing a banana, a gigantic frog and huge blue whales.

No, I'm not kidding!

These are just a few of the magnificent kites that will be on display at the 2015 Adelaide International Kite Festival at Semaphore over the Easter long weekend in April.

The Semaphore Kite Festival is an international event - kite flyers from all over the world come to Adelaide for this very special event. It's been an annual event since 1997 and each year the crowds are bigger and bigger. The best part is that it is free to attend!

The kite festival is a hugely popular event; it appeals to people of all ages and there's just something so nice about watching a kite fly.

It's a sensational event for the kids - lots of colour and fun, hands-on activities and free give aways - including a lolly drop from a kite each hour.

The event is held on the Saturday, Sunday and Monday of the the Easter long weekend.
