The is currently under way with film screenings and Q&A sessions with the actors and filmmakers every night up until March 13 at The Ritz Cinema ,
Randwick. The festival highlights all that is great about Australian films, screening classics and new releases.

The Spot Food & Film Festival takes place Sunday March 13. It's a free family event, which will involve a great day of food, drink and entertainment. The events will begin at 1pm outside The Ritz with festivities running into the evening. Surrounding streets are closed off to traffic allowing for a fun street party atmosphere.



At 6pm three of Australia's favourite actors, Gary Sweet, Sigrid Thornton and Jack Thompson will be inducted into the Australian Film Walk of Fame.

At 7pm on Sunday March 13 the Australian Short Film Festival will be kicking off, tickets $13. Film industry experts such as Rachel Ward, Peter Castaldi and Darren Gilshenan will make up the panel of judges; by the end of the night one Australian filmmaker will be selected as the winner.

This weekend, it doesn't matter whether you're a movie buff or a novice. Have some fun while supporting the Aussie film industry, enjoy a film or get involved in part of the festivities taking part at The Ritz.
