If you are in need of a good feed before you start your shopping, or after you have just shopped till you dropped, then this cafe is the place to go. 18 Grams is located in the Food Court opposite JB Hi-Fi and Priceline in Westfield Eastgardens, and this little floral-decor gem cafe is certainly the place to go to relax or start your day at.

The cafe serves up western-flavour delights with hints of inspiration from other cuisines including classic dishes to something a bit fancy like superfood dishes, winter warmer soups and superb coffee... it offers something for everyone to sink their teeth into.
The cafe is counter service- pick a table, decide what you want to indulge in and make your way to the front counter to order and pay.

18 Grams Cafe also offers coffee beans for sale with house blend or single-origin coffee beans.

Decor/ Ambience:

Even though it is located in the middle of a busy shopping centre food court, you still get cosy and relaxed vibes due to the wonderful and colourful decor of flowers surrounding you.

The flowers certainly make this cafe stand out from the others. It is inviting and offers warmness, not just from the decor, but from staff members too.

Menu:

The menu offers regular cafe dishes served with classics, an extensive all-day breakfast and lunch menu, healthy options as well as superfood delights. There is a glass window display with offerings of cakes, slices and sweets, sandwiches and wraps.

Dishes include breakfast favourites such as Egg Benedict, Avocado Bruschetta, French Toast and omelette varieties.

You will also find other tasty delights including Dukkah Eggs served with ricotta, tomato, avocado on sourdough, Eggs Atlantic served with smoked salmon and superfoods like the Acai Bowl and 18 Grams Healthy Bowl.

Lunch menu includes classics too like burgers, chicken schnitzel, sandwiches and melts, pasta and salads.

The beverage menu features coffee including cold coffee drinks, freshly squeezed juices, smoothies, milkshakes, loose leaf teas and soft drinks.

Food:

We ordered the Big Breakfast ($17.90) and the 18 Grams Healthy Bowl ($14.90).

And for drinks, we ordered a Large Cappuccino ($4.30).

The Big Breakfast included poached eggs (or eggs to your liking), bacon, chorizo, halloumi, grilled tomato, mushrooms, and hash brown with sourdough.

The poached eggs were cooked to perfection with the yolk oozing out and overall it was a generous, wholesome and hearty meal. It did make the perfect dish to start your day and gain some energy to conquer shopping!

The 18 Grams Healthy Bowl included poached eggs, kale, mushrooms, quinoa and avocado. The dish overall was enjoyable, refreshing and healthy. I think a pomegranate molasses or vinaigrette would have taken the dish to a whole new level as well as the addition of macadamia nuts, pumpkin seeds or other nuts, which would have perfected the dish and really balanced it out.

The Cappuccino was perfect! The mixture of espresso and steamed milk was spot on. There was the perfect rich flavour, texture and boldness coffee taste that was well balanced with the slight sweetness from the milk.

The temperature was spot on and the milk was smooth and frothy.

Overall, 18 Grams Cafe is a lovely cafe with friendly staff, tasty food, inviting decor and great coffee offerings!

18 Grams is located on Level 2- best parking can be found on the Red Level Carpark, enter off Banks Ave.
