The Frick Collection is not just popular for its rare exhibitions of European masterpieces like El Greco's 'Vincenzo Anastagi' . The renowned art museum founded by Pittsburgh coke and steel industrialist Henry Clay Frick also hosts one of the most celebrated classical music concerts in New York .

Now into its 76th year, the concert series has showcased world-class performances by major soloists and ensembles such as legendary instrumentalists Gregor Piatigorsky, vocalists Kiri Te Kanawa, the Budapest quartets and performers on period instruments such as the Quatuor Mosaïques. Notable European musicians like Ian Bostridge, Matthias Goerne and Felicity Lott have also made their New York debuts at the Frick Collection.

On 23 November, John Holloway, Lars Ulrik Mortensen and Jane Gower will perform German and Italian music from the 17th century at the Frick Collection. The program consists of works by Biber, Schmelzer, Castello, Fontana etc. with John on the violin, Jane on the dulcian and Lars on the harpsichord.
