South Australia is packed with things to do, but sometimes you just cant think of anything. From bucket list experiences that people will travel across the world to do, seeing our breathtaking scenery, trying amazing coffee shops and restaurants on the top 100 in Australia. Famous for being the city of churches and the wine state, I have put the ULTIMATE to do list for South Australia with over 150 ideas for your next day, or weekend off.

Cheap things to do
1. Visit Onkaparinga River National Park
2. Walk through the Botanic Gardens
3. Have a picnic at the Kuipto forest
4. Have fish and chips at Henley
5. Stroll through the Himeji Gardens on South Terrace
6. Hike Mount Lofty
7. Get Sotos Fish And Chips then get Copenhagen ice-cream at Semaphore
8. Tour the Haighs Factory , Its free, and you get some samples of their delicious chocolate.
9. Go to a SANFL game
10. Visit Anstey Hill Recreation Park
11. Visit the pink salt lake- Lake Bumbunga near the towns of Lochiel and Bumbunga
12. Go to Garden Island- if you have a kayak, the winding trails through the mangroves are perfect.

Seppeltsfield in the Barossa Valley is a must! So many things to see and do - Seppeltsfield Cellar Door, Fino Restaurant, JamFactory Craft & Design Studios, Vasse Virgin Soap Factory and Segways! We had a cute picnic in their picnic grounds too ... we soon realised we’d spent the whole day there 🙊

Well I've now got some great ideas of things to do and places to visit. maybe you add snorkeling with the cuttlefish at Whyalla in June/July. That is one of many great snorkeling spots in SA. The arid botanic gardens near Pt. Augusta are beautiful too.

Great list!
Another addition - visit the State Heritage Area of Gawler. Start at the Information Centre, take the hour long Gawler Town Drive, choose some of the walking tours of different areas and stop for coffee or a meal at one of many great eating places in the town.

Millicent National Trust award winning museum. Wonderful collection of restored horse-drawn vehicles, Helen Hughes clothing collection , shipwreck history, blacksmith shop, farm machinery and much much more. Not to be missed when touring the Limestone coast area.
