11 A.M movie review

This film was made in 2012 but is new to DVD with subtitles. In an intriguing thriller, scientists travel forward 24 hours in time, only to discover their lab is destroyed and someone is trying to kill them all. What then unfolds has the audience moving with the main protagonists, trying to piece together what happened, and how to stop it.

The plot is very simple, and the premise works by playing out the scenario to the end with realism. The characters are likeable though all react differently to the challenge, and it is this that makes the film so interesting.

I was engaged as the events played out, and I loved that I was guessing along with the main characters. The time travel issues work well because the film doesn't try to overreach, by staying focused on a small series of events (and a single idea), so there aren't the usual looping issues with time travel overwhelming the storyline.

If you like science fiction and time travel, then this is a great little film. I stumbled across it by accident and really enjoyed it.
