100 Years at the Red House

Marion is one of the oldest colonially-settled areas in Adelaide. The Red House, one of Marion's favourite landmarks, will be open to visitors from 21st to 25th May 2022, each day from 10am to 4pm.

This historic house was once a home of a Marion market-gardening family. Built in the 1920s, many of the character structures and features of the house have been retained.

You are invited to take a walk through the house and imagine what life was like in those days. Admire the architecture and view displays of photographs and artefacts that tell stories of the house and its occupants.

The Red House is located at 245 Sturt Road, Sturt. Entry to the house is free and bookings are not required. However, due to Covid safety measures, numbers allowed in the house are limited, so there may be some waiting time before entry.
