If you're like most Mums and Dads at this time of year, you're scratching your head for fun new activities to entertain the kids in the school holidays. Here's a list of 10 activities that will make the school holidays really memorable:

10. Ninja Kids
Age range: 3-15 years
Cost: $15-20 (for a casual class)
What is it? Have you ever watched Ninja Warrior? Well, this is the kids version!...."Ninja Warrior" style Obstacle Course and Tumbling Classes

9. Nubo Play Space (Alexandria)
Age range: 0 10 years
Cost: $10-50 dependent on age and time spent
What is it? This is the ultimate play space for creating, painting, singing, building. It's so different from the standard soft play centres and well worth checking out.

8. The Ian Potter Children's WILD PLAY Garden
Age range: Ideally 0 10 years
Cost: Free
What is it? The Ian Potter Children's WILD PLAY Garden, is a $4M state-of-the-art nature play space designed to engage the five senses, and help to reconnect children to nature.
It has a large water play space, tunnels, sandpits, treehouse and balancing beams. Everything is natural which is so refreshing. Just make sure you have your eyes on the little ones in the play space as there are so many places to hide in this contained natural play park!

7. Watsons Bay Hotel Classes
Age range: 3-12 years old
Cost: $15 - $25 dependent on class chosen
What is it? Watsons Bay Hotel is running a range of classes over the school holidays including Taronga Zoo mobile, Cooking classes, magic shows, face painting etc. Check out their website for further details

6. Hire a boat
Age range: Any age
Cost: Starting from $120 (for 2 hours)
What is it? Hire a boat from cottage point kiosk. They'll give you a map to explore the river so you can't get lost and it makes an amazing morning or afternoon out. Take some food to stop for a picnic or stop in at the cottage point kiosk for food afterwards.

5. Horse riding
Age range: Ideally from 5 years
Cost: Holiday programs from $120
What is it? Get your kids into horse riding or your horse mad kids on a camp for the week. They'll love it.

4. Sydney Observatory Day Tours
Age range: School age
Cost: $10 per adult, $8 per child, or family tickets available
What is it? Look for stars and planets on your tour of the observatory.

3. Urban Jungle
Age range: All ages and skill level
Cost: $39.50 per person
What is it? Get a group of kids together for hours of fun on flying foxes and other challenges high up in the trees, on this outdoor high ropes adventure course. There are over 50 activities!

2. Alphabetical Sydney Creative Lab

Age range: Ideally 2-10 years old
Cost: $12 for adults, $8 per concession, under 5s are free
What is it? Let your imagination run wild in a creative laboratory full of the sights and sounds of Sydney. Alphabetical Sydney: Creative Lab is an interactive children's exhibition that celebrates Sydney in all its diversity, from A to Z.

1. Cryptic Cities Trail
Age range: 4 10 year olds (fun for the whole family)
Cost: $20 per team (for the whole family)
What is it? Solve a trail of clues, sent to your mobile, that take you across your city. Aimed at 4-10 year olds, the children are guided on a fun and educational trail around the Botanical Gardens. All clues are sent to your mobile, so the kids will enjoy having control of your phone as they solve 10 clues (with one break stop after clue 5) to find their way out!
