Catch one of these good movies coming in September
Now that spring is almost here, it is a bit warmer, less rain and for me, this entices me to go out easier! There are some great movies coming on in September and this is a list of ones I would like to see.

1. THE NUN
In this movie, a priest with a haunted past is sent to Rome to investigate the mysterious death of a nun. This is the sequel to the supernatural horror The Conjuring 2.

The release date for this is 6th September 2018 and it stars Taissa Farmiga, Bonnie Aarons, and Charlotte Hope.

2. THE MISEDUCATION OF CAMERON POST
This Sundance-winning adaptation of the coming-of-age novel of the same name sees a teenager sent to a conversion therapy camp by an aunt. This is because her aunt is horrified by her sexuality. The teenager, Cameron, finds friends despite all the odds.

This will be released on 6th September 2018 and stars Chloe Grace Moretz, Sasha Lane, and John Gallagher Jr. amongst others.

3. THE HOUSE WITH A CLOCK IN ITS WALLS
This movie has mild supernatural themes and does have violence, with some scary scenes. A young orphan named Lewis Barnavelt helps his magical uncle in finding a clock with the power to bring about the end of the world.

This will start on 7th September and stars Cate Blanchett, Jack Black and Kyle MacLachlan.

4. MCQUEEN
Who doesn't occasionally enjoy a good documentary? This is one such that I look forward to seeing. It is about the late fashion designer and genius Lee Alexander McQueen, who started off as a tailor. It features interviews with friends and family and footage of his spectacular, sometimes disturbing, shows.

It will be released on 6th September and stars Bernard Arnault, Joseph Bennett, and Detmar Blow.

5. THE MERGER
In the tradition of The Castle, adapted from the stage play, this is an Australian movie. Bodgy Creek is a struggling town. This is the story of that town!

It will be released at Luna Cinemas on 6th September and stars Penny Cook, Nick Cody and Stephen Hunter.

6. BEAST
Moll still lives with her family in a remote island community. She is virtually trapped by the demands of her family and eventually finds a potential escape through Pascal. But there is a brutal murderer on the loose, and suspicion soon turns onto Pascal.

This will be released on 13th September, also at the Luna and stars Jessie Buckley and Johnny Flynn.

7. SEARCHING
After David Kim's 16-year-old daughter disappears, a local investigation is started. A detective is assigned to the case, but 37 hours later and without a single lead, David decides to search the one place no one has looked yet. This is his daughter's laptop.

This will be released on 13th September at Luna Leederville and some mainstream theatres and stars John Cho.

8. A SIMPLE FAVOUR
This is a mystery centred on a blogger mum in a small town. She is trying to discover the truth behind the disappearance of her best friend. It is based on the novel by Darcy Bell.

It will be released on 13th September and stars Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively.

9. LADIES IN BLACK
This one is directed by Bruce Beresford and is set in 1959. During this time European migration and the rise of women's liberation is about to change Australia forever. It tells of a schoolgirl taking a summer job at the prestigious Sydney department store, Goode's. There she meets the "ladies in black", who will change her life forever.

This will be released on 20th September and stars Julia Ormond, Rachael Taylor, Susie Porter, Shane Jacobson and Noni Hazlehurst.

10. MANDY
This movie stars Nicholas Cage, and while I would probably not otherwise see this movie, I love Nicholas Cage and see all of his movies!

Pacific Northwest - 1983 - Outsiders Red Miller and Mandy Bloom live a loving and peaceful life. When their haven is savagely destroyed by a cult, Red is thrown into a fantastic journey filled with vengeance and laced with fire.

This will be released on 21st September and stars Nicolas Cage, Andrea Riseborough, Linus Roache, Bill Duke, and Richard Brake.
