A selection of five $10 lunch deals on the Gold Coast
My favourite thing in the whole wide world is food and then my second favourite thing is going to a restaurant to eat food. The previous week, I set myself a mission, a tasty mission. To find 5 places that serve delicious $10 lunches.
First place I discovered was Krish - Indian. They have 3 chains on the Gold Coast, in Robina, Varisty Lakes and Worongary. I ventured to the Robina Krish and was happy to discover they have a great $10 lunch deal: a can of soft drink, curry of your choice and a side salad. The Butter Chicken was amazingly yum and the service was outstanding.
Varsity Lakes Tavern was my next stop. They have $10 lunches, Monday to Saturday. A great selection was on offer from a Classic BLT with chips to Fish, chips and salad. Again the service was really 5 star and the venue is modern and inviting.
Mama Roma an Italian restaurant at Broadbeach. They offer $10 lunch specials such as Chicken Parmigiana, chips and salad or Meat Lovers Pizza. I had the Spaghetti Carbonara and honestly they could have charged double and I would have been fine with it.
I couldn't resist mixing a pub lunch into the works and popped over to Waxy's Irish Pub in Surfers Paradise. What is better than a $10 Pub lunch with an iced cold beer? Absolutely nothing. I devoured a Prawn and Avocado Rocket Salad (By this point into the mission, it was time I ordered something healthy). They have eight, $10 meals to choose from. Also a sneaky tip, head in on Sunday for $2 Steaks!
The final destination was The Vault Bar and Grill at Southport. I haven't been, because it's a little far out, but my parents have gone twice now and love it! They too serve $10 lunches. My mum had a Focaccia Sandwich with tender lamb, capsicum, lettuce, onion and feta. My dad had the Steak, chips and salad.
After turning myself into a GPS for $10 lunches on the Coast and gaining a few extra kilos, I feel that the mission is complete.
For now anyway.
