10 Free ways to learn, get fit, and build your skills
April is well underway, but there's plenty of time to take advantage of the many wonderful and free classes and workshops on in Sydney during the next few weeks. Here's ten ideas to keep you fit through boxing, Zumba and yoga, to relax with some gardening, and cooking, and hone your business and marketing skills, and all are free.
April 14th: Book here to learn how to grow food in small spaces. This introductory indoor session is designed to help urban residents grow food on balconies, window sills, and common areas. The class is held at Sydney Park Pavilion, in Euston Road, Alexandria, on Saturday 14th of April 2018 from 10am to 11.30am
April 16th: Try a Zumba Class for free every Monday at 10.15am (for 45 minutes) at Abraham Mott Hall, 15A Argyle Street, in Millers Point. This class uses the same upbeat music and hot dance moves as the original Zumba classes but at a lower-intensity pace for those people who are still building their fitness.

April 16th: Introduction to Essential Oils is an interactive and educational workshop on the benefit of oils around the home. The class is in Maroubra and registration is at this link.
April 17th: Collage Making Class is on Tuesday 17th April from 10am to noon. Collage is made up of magazine and newspaper clippings, old books, and other media, which are all provided as part of the workshop. Meet at the Waverley Library Ground Floor Study Room, at 32-48 Denison St, in Bondi Junction.

April 18th: Make your own Dumplings at this 'Tastes of Cherrybrook' workshop. Learn where to source the best ingredients, how to prepare dough and fillings, and how to prepare delicious dumplings. The event is on Wednesday 18th April from 11am to 1pm at Cherrybrook Village Shopping Centre, 41-47 Shepherds Drive, in Cherrybrook.
April 22nd: A Free Community Yoga Class is on at the Picton Botanical Gardens at 13 Regreme Rd, Picton. The class starts at 10am. Enjoy yoga hosted by 'My Yoga Space' - it is open for all levels, including beginners. The class will be an opportunity to experience the benefits of mindful breath and movement. Some mats are provided (or bring your own) and it is recommended that you arrive 10 minutes early to prepare. As a bonus, there are some nibblies and tea after, so a great chance to mingle.

April 26th: Learn more about Digital Marketing in this free class on Thursday 26th April at 5.15pm (class runs for an hour). Learn about Search Engine Marketing, content marketing, and social media, and the tools at your disposal to run effective digital marketing campaigns. This event is at the 'General Assembly' Main Campus, The Podium Building, 1 Market St (entry via Kent Street), in Sydney.
April 26th: 'Upsize Your Sales' is held by the Penrith Community Business Network as part of a series of workshops to help your business become more profitable. This is an action-oriented session and includes a workbook with key topics. The event is from 7.30am to 9am on Thursday 26th of April, ad WOTSO Office Space at 95B Station Street in Penrith.
April 26th: If you want to know more about the future of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Science, check out this session on Thursday 26th April from 5pm to 6pm. This class will teach you more about the future of machines, and the possibilities for your career. This event is at the 'General Assembly' Main Campus, The Podium Building, 1 Market St (entry via Kent Street), in Sydney.
April 29th: There is a free Boxing Workshop on the last Sunday of April. This session provides a background to boxing, various skills and techniques, and shows you how to incorporate boxing into your fitness routine to improve agility and overall fitness. The event is on 29th April at 10am for an hour and a half, at Fitness Forum Health Club, 170-174 Green Valley Road, in Green Valley.
