The 1 Million Stars to End Violence is an international community weaving project with stars being woven in US, Europe, the Pacific Islands and New Zealand in addition to Australia. Each star is a symbol of commitment and solidarity to end all forms of violence. Started by artist Maryann Talia Pau, the collection of woven stars was the feature installation in the Big Design Market at the Royal Exhibition Building and will also be featured at the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games.

Now you and your kids can be part of this project thanks to the Avondale Heights Library and Learning Centre. The Library is hosting a weaving session with afternoon tea. All materials are provided and the stars woven will be displayed in the Moonee Valley Libraries. No bookings are required.
