If you are after a leisurely and cheap breakfast option, nothing beats the $1 breakfast at Ikea, Vaughan . Yes, you read the price right! For just a dollar, you get a plate of two sausages, scrambled eggs and home fries, and for a dollar more, you also get unlimited refills of coffee, tea or soft drink. But remember, this offer is valid only until 11am everyday.


I went out with my family. We paid a total of about $11.45 for four adults, including the drinks and the French toast that I had to get substituted for the sausages since I am a vegetarian. Hubby and brother-in-law, in their typical fashion, ordered an extra plate to share.

If that doesn't interest you, then there are other all-day meal options that you could go in for.


And once there, I bet you cannot resist the charm of going into the store, just to have a quick peek. I especially enjoy looking at the fabulous rooms, lounges and kitchens that they design.


All in all, a quick breakfast followed by a stroll around the store is a great way to spend some time on the weekend.
