It is proven that too much stress is a bad thing, and if not addressed, can have negative effects on your health and wellbeing. Lifeline has now launched the national Stress Down Day 2011 in order to raise awareness and raise much needed funds to help people overcome stress in their day-to-day lives. You can be a part of this event by going to work or school in anything, from your PJs to a fun costume - whatever you feel like wearing, as long as it makes you feel good and helps others stress less. You can raise funds by registering via the website (click here) and help support Lifeline's work in and around the community.
If you don't want to feel too out of place, then a great alternative is to purchase and wear the official 'Stress Down Slippers' on July 22nd. Lifeline has partnered with Beach Rescue Remedy to release these comfy pair of slippers, and they can be purchased online (different sizes are available). All proceeds from the slippers go to Lifeline.
So show your support for a good cause on Stress Down Day by dressing to stress less this July 22nd. For more information, including a free fundraising pack, please visit the official website.
