The sultry vocal stylings of Zoe K & the Shadow Katz will return to Brisbane for one night only, Friday 22 February, at the Brisbane Jazz Club .



I first saw Zoe K & the Shadow Katz perform at Cloudland last March, having heard great reviews from friends and music appreciators alike. I was not disappointed and didn't wait until the end of the gig, I bought a CD in the set break. Since then, come hell or high water, I've done (almost) anything to get to their Brisbane gigs, and have caught them perform at The Joynt and Black Bear Lodge . Winner of ABC Female Vocalist of the Year Award in 2009, Newcastle native Zoe K has an amazing voice which straddles jazz, blues and soul and she takes you on an emotional journey to the depths of despair and back again; her original tunes containing lyrics you can connect with time and time again.



On the night, she'll also perform from the classics of jazz, blues, soul, and R&B
with fresh interpretations of tunes made famous by Etta James, Ella Mae Morse , Patsy Cline and Ruth Brown .

You can catch Zoe K & the Shadow Katz perform at the Brisbane Jazz Club, Kangaroo Point, on Friday 22 February. Tickets for Jazz Club members are $20, non-members will pay $25. Doors open at 6:30pm, and the band will commence about 7:30pm. It is highly recommended you secure tickets in advance and arrive early to choose your preferred vantage point.
