Zero Degrees is a bar. A bar and a brewery – or, as the smell might give away, a bar IN a brewery. Because, as well as the fact that you're drinking your pint direct from the serving tank, part of the Zero Degrees experience is that while you're drinking more beer is being produced: the malt is being rolled, the hops are being added and going into the mush tun, then the mix is being brewed, then fermenting... and it's happening all around you in big stainless steal drums, tanks and pipes. For a true lover of beer there's no better place to drink. Apart from knowing that your beer has been crafted on site, you also know you're never going to run out.

One of the other perks about drinking your beer fresh and without preservatives is that the Zeros team claim there's far less chance of it catching up with you in the morning and giving you a hangover.

There are several brews to choose from. As well, their staple Pilsner, Wheat Ale, Black Larger and Pale Ale, they also brew guest beers, which can include their recipes of Porter, Fruit Beers to Stout and Red Ale.

From the description so far it sounds like Zeros is just for lovers of the golden mead, but it's not, they have wines and spirits as well, or course, and also a restaurant, where they serve an equally limited selection of things they do well. Most of the items on their menu include the words 'pizza' or 'mussels', but they also do salads and pasta. The mussels are served in kilo pots with fries – which, as the Belgians know, go very well with mayo and a wheat beer or a pale ale. With one of their stone-hearth oven baked pizzas they recommend a pilsner – it's what the Italians would want.

The whiff has been mentioned – its a slight moistness and sweetness that shouldn't put people off their food, otherwise they wouldn't serve any – but the other down side of eating and drinking in a brewery is that you're eating and drinking in a brewery... So be prepared for a slightly industrial atmosphere of steel tanks and faint bubbling sounds under the music. 'Cause Zeros is clubby as well, there's a dance floor, and people do occasionally dance. So it's a multi purpose sort of a place - an all in one for beer aficionados.
