August in Sydney has become synonymous with the
Sydney Design Festival, showcasing local and international design for 13 years.
A more recent, but very popular event on the Festival’s calendar is the
Youngblood Designers Market. Youngblood is a curated market, which means shoppers are guaranteed to find original and creative works produced by up-and-coming Australian designers.
The market will feature the work of over forty designers, in a vibrant market atmosphere, with a unique mix of items available for purchase. Think everything from fashion and jewellery to furniture, lighting and graphic art. Youngblood also gives shoppers the opportunity to meet the designers, and to discover the inspiration and ideas behind their works.
The event is hosted at the
Powerhouse Museum, and the market is open on Friday 14th August from 6-9pm and Saturday 15th August 10pm-5pm.
On the Friday evening shoppers can share a drink and inspect the works to a soundtrack mixed by
Designer Muzik. While on Saturday, shoppers will witness a live photo shoot of hip-hop dancers by fashion photographer
Hamish Ta-Me.
