I think it is safe to say the American Nick Jr. television production, Yo Gabba Gabba!, is much more than a children's television show. In fact, it is loved by young teenagers, college students, parents and even actors such as Jack Black, Elijah Wood and Sarah Silverman, as well as an array of musicians and bands, for example Weird Al Yankovic, Mos Def, Devo, Weezer, Erykah Badu, Flaming Lips and The Killers, who have all appeared on the acclaimed show.

Yo Gabba Gabba! features a cast of colourful characters, including host DJ Lance Rock, Muno, Foofa, Brobee, Toodee and Plex. With catchy tunes, this bright, energetic show, with a retro feel has been embraced worldwide. Popular regular segments include;

Mark's Magic Pictures, with Mark Mothersbaugh of Devo;

Biz's Beat of the Day, starring Biz Markie;

Dancey Dance Time;

DJ Lance Dance;

If you or your kids love Yo Gabba Gabba!, make note that the whole gang are coming back to Australia, and will be staging the latest Yo Gabba Gabba! live show entitled There's a Party in my City! at the Sydney Opera House (as part of Vivid Sydney) on June 4 and 5, 2011 and at the Palais Theatre in Melbourne on June 11, 2011.
