Think Italian when you see Lygon Street? How about Thai?

Colourful
Ying Thai 2
caricatures adorn the walls
is the best way to describe Ying Thai 2 in one word. Colourful décor, colourful dining furniture and colourful aromas wafting from the authentic Thai dishes.

The restaurant is one of several Victorian shop fronts along the Queensberry Street end of Lygon Street, each decorated to suit the business within, but all retaining their original Victorian façades.

On entering Ying Thai 2, patrons walk into a burst of colour supplemented by courteous staff and a menu that meets expectations.

The restaurant is licensed and BYO, and offers take-away as well as inside and outside dining areas. It is a good sign when you consistently see Thai people dining at Ying Thai 2.

The inside space may not be wheelchair or pram accessible, so it is worth checking with the restaurant if accessibility is required. Trams run along Queensberry Street and Swanston Street.
