Inspired by Natasha Stewart's question,
'Where are the best dumplings in Melbourne?' I felt I had to write a review for Yang's Hot Works in Bayswater.
Yang's is a welcome change from the 'Aussie style' Chinese food found in most suburbs. It departs from the sweet and sour and beef and black bean flavours, offering a more authentic Shanghai style menu.

For starters and snacks there are a range of tasty offerings. Anything from Shanghai pork buns to fried ribs in garlic sauce. There is even a selection of red bean desserts for the sweet tooth.
The draw card for this restaurant has to be the dumplings, these delicious little morsels are the reason why this restaurant is so busy most nights of the week. The delectable dumpling menu includes: the classic Peking pork, chilli oil dumplings, beef, chicken and prawn, and rounds off with some great won ton options as well.

If for some ludicrous reason you don't feel like dumplings then there is a wide selection of noodle and rice dishes too.
So if you're out in the eastern suburbs and the cravings strike, try Yang's Hot Works.
You won't be disappointed.
