The Broadway suprise hit - Xanadu: the Musical, is coming to Docklands, Melbourne!
The critically acclaimed musical comedy, based on the 80s cult-hit starring Olivia Newton-John, Michael Beck, and Gene Kelly, has had a stellar run since opening on Broadway in 2007.
New arrangements of the classic songs of the original film, feature in this musical - including "I'm Alive," "Magic," "Suddenly," and "Dancin'." Also the original film features music by Electric Light Orchestra, Cliff Richard, and The Tubes and some of the ELO tracks feature in the musical also.
The cast for the Melbourne show, which is taking place at the 'Grand Xanadu Marquee' in the Melbourne, Docklands, includes Christie Whelan, Sam Ludeman, John McTernan, Susan-Ann Walker and Alexandra Fowler.

Tickets are currently available through Ticketek. The performance dates are March 1 to April 3, 2011.
Please note on March 1, it is a Charity Preview Performance, with all proceeds being donated to the Queensland Flood Appeal and on March 2 it is also a Charity Preview Performance, with proceeds being donated to the Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre Appeal.
Adult ticket prices start from $85.90 and Children (3-14 years), Pensioners and Full Time Students are at the discounted price of $69.90.
