Hurry, last days! The Adelaide International Bird Sanctuary is celebrating World Migratory Bird Day on 10 May 2017 with a competition for enthusiastic photographers. They would like to give you the opportunity to have your digital artwork or photo printed on one of their special edition postcards.

World Migratory Bird Day is an annual global celebration of the incredible journey across hundreds of thousands of kilometres that migratory birds make every year. This year's theme is 'their future is our future', highlighting the wide range of threats migratory birds currently face, many of which are caused by human activities.

The prize for one lucky winner in each category, is a 12 month, unlimited Zoos South Australia membership so you can get up close and personal with some of our feathered friends.

Entries for Adelaide International Bird Sanctuary photography competition is open to all age groups and closes at 5pm on the 10th May, 2017.
There's also a colouring competition for the littlies and youth to compete for additional zoo memberships. The colouring competition is open to ages 0-18 years (three age groups 0-5, 6-11, 12-18).

The Adelaide International Bird Sanctuary is a unique safe haven for shorebirds, many migrating each year between Australia and the northern hemisphere. The Sanctuary is located 30 minutes north of Adelaide at St. Kilda foreshore and well worth the day trip for all the family to enjoy.
