My penchant for signing up for workshops has been mentioned previously. Workshops meet my desire to learn new tasks and gain further knowledge without taking up huge chunks of my time. The learning environments tend to be very friendly, and I find it helpful to the learning process to be surrounded by like-minded people.
Yes, I am also focus challenged. Some of us just learn better in a hands-on situation, don't we?
Here are three Workshops happening around the suburbs of Brisbane during April that look interesting, in no particular order.
Just what is Kokedoma? In English, Kokedoma literally means moss ball. It is a ball of soil, covered with moss, on which an ornamental plant grows. These are very popular in Japanese Gardens and can look gorgeous, especially if you have minimal garden space to work with.

Sandal Making Workshop.
This one is particularly for the upcyclers who love to breathe new life into old items. For this Workshop, you will need a couple of your redundant tee shirts. Good news is that you don't require any sewing skills.
