Back for its 6th year, Woof-fest 2017 is bigger and better than ever. Sydney's most popular festival for dogs and their owners (or wannabe owners) is on once again at Warrigal Run (an off-leash dog area) in Bungarribee Park in Western Sydney Parklands. Woof-fest is a FREE community event held on Sunday, 25th June 2017 from 9am-1pm. It promises to be a fun day for all ages and levels of dog devotion and is jam packed with free activities, talks and giveaways.

Make sure you start your day off at Woof-fest with the free early morning warm-up walk. Breakfast is included and you can experience the park's new walking and cycling tracks.

There will be lots of interesting talks where you can pick up many tips and tricks for dealing with fido. Veterinarian Dr Peter Higgins will perform the MC role and you can expect to be educated by:
Dog behaviourist and author of 'Dognitive Therapy', Laura Vissaritis, with tips for healthier, happier dogs.
Farmer Dave Graham, of Big Brother fame, who now uses his country working dog knowledge to help train well-adjusted city dogs.
Professional Sydney dog trainer, Ryan Tate, with expert tips on preventing bad behaviour in dogs.
Pet Nutritionist Naoko Okamoto from Chew Chew Pet Restaurant with cooking demonstrations and recipes you can make at home.

Search for the Next SuPaw Model will see dogs dressed as celebrities fighting it out on the dog-walk. Entry is free and prizes will be awarded so if you have the furry spitting image of a celebrity at your home, then enter here.

Woof-fest has lots of ways for you and fido to have a bit of fun:
Get your faces painted for free. Yes, pooch is included too!
Pose for a selfie with your dog in the Woof-fest photo booth.
Get your caricatures drawn together by professional caricature artist Peter Byrne

In addition, there will be 50 pooch-related market stalls offering the latest in pet accessories, products, and services. Be sure to pick up your Woof-fest doggie bag with giveaways for your four-legged friend. RSPCA, Blacktown Animal Shelter, and Guide Dogs will also be at Woof-fest if you want to learn how you can contribute to their work.

There will be fun for the kids including a 101 Dalmatians themed jumping castle.

So grab that dog lead and get ready for a fun-filled day with your four-legged friend!

Free parking is available at the event. Entry is from the intersection of Holbeche and Doonside Roads, Bungarribee.
