Forget online dating, Woo! brings romance back
Calling all Sydney singles. Newly launched Woo! Social Club, a dating service with a difference and Sydney's hottest new social club, is bringing romance back. They're introducing a better way to meet your mate: in a relaxed social setting, with quirky old fashioned flourishes like calling cards that allow members to discreetly make their interest known. Interested? Read on.
Woo! was founded by four Sydney singles who knew that people across Sydney want to meet new people, but are frustrated by the endless cycle of online dating.
So, how is Woo! different?
There are no online profiles required. 25 to 45 year-old members simply pay a monthly fee and are offered exclusive invitations to Woo! events in return. The events are specially designed to make typically nerve-wracking first introductions less stressful, by hosting them in a fun environment. Events range from barefoot lawn bowls for twenty in Paddington to after-work drinks at Sydney's latest out-of-the-way laneway bar. Coming to a Woo! event is just like going out with a bunch of your mates, except conveniently, they all happen to be single.
Co-founder Laura Carrie says, "We're taking dating back offline, because we truly believe that you're better in real life. We're the anti-Tinder. It's all about creating an environment where people can feel comfortable to be themselves. Members can even bring a wingperson for added support."
Woo! offers an ongoing program of social events.
Up coming Woo! events include a cocktail making class and dinner on Saturday 19th April and stand up paddle boarding and picnic on Sunday 27th April.
How do you join? You can apply online now. It will only take 30 seconds and for a short time only membership is FREE. Once your application is received someone from Woo! will give you a call to have a quick chat and make sure that you and Woo! will be happy together.
Once you're accepted you'll be sent event invitations. You reserve your place and pay all costs up-front. Event costs are usually all-inclusive and start at as little as $35. It couldn't be simpler.
