To help celebrate the Wireless Hill Centenary , the City of Melville is holding a range of free family activities, stalls, music and entertainment events.

The Wireless Hill Park is situated on Telefunken Drive in Ardross. The park contains over 38 hectares of bush-land and park-land. It includes a museum, a caretaker's cottage and several other significant heritage buildings.
Come and join in the fun on Sunday 30th September, 2012 as Wireless Hill celebrates '100 years of talking to the World'. This day will also mark the official opening of a brand new museum display.

Step back in time as you explore the vintage radios and gramophones, play some old-fashioned games and have a go at Morse code. Test out the VHF call sign, listen to the bush poets, have your face painted or visit the animal farmyard and enjoy a pony ride. Hear the Numguts Bush Band perform, see the vintage car display and much, much more

A totally free family event, there will be loads of free entertainment for all the family. Bring a picnic to enjoy in the beautiful park-land area or there will be food and drinks available, to purchase, on the day.

Take part in the Wireless Hill Centenary Celebration from 12 noon until 5pm. There will be lots of public parking available at the City of Melville Civic Centre, with a free shuttle bus service running to Wireless Hill and back.
