There's only one place in Brisbane where fancy stores like
Swarovski jostle for space next to true blue Aussie companies like
RM Williams, and punters can enjoy a gourmet meal, knock back a pint or work it off at the gym, all in the one location. It's the
Wintergarden and it has recently re-opened following a mammoth renovation. Visitors can enjoy a revolving display of colourful works of art when they visit the Wintergarden this month.
Piece x Piece is a multimedia experience that celebrates Stage One of the Wintergarden's makeover. The display is a large scale outdoor exhibition of rotating boxes that will showcase the works of local artists. The exhibits will include photography, paintings, sculpture and digital design and artists include
Simon DeGroot,
Dane Beesly and
Bjorn Rust.
One member of the public will be given the opportunity to own a piece of this exhibit. To learn more, visit the
Wintergarden website.
Piece x Piece was launched on 26 May and will continue until June. It is located on the lower ground level of the Wintergarden, between Wittner and Anthony's Fine Jewellery. This is a cost free experience – unless, of course, you succumb to the allure of Wintergarden retailers.
