The winter school holidays aren't too far away. Plans? If your child thrives on gaming, YouTube, animation and movie culture, you need to see what's happening at the Australian Centre of the Moving Image (ACMI) this July.

From young coding workshops to LEGO robotics, family Minecraft sessions to game critic classes, YouTube star sessions to Superhero movie making, the ACMI is where you need to be this winter.

A free visual programming language, Scratch was developed to help simplify the process of creating and programming animations, games, music, interactive stories and more.
